Certification Maintenance- New name and new Process!
NEEC has streamlined the process for maintaining your BOC credential, effective January 1, 2014. See the below summary and NEEC's website for further information: http://www.theboc.info/g-maintaining-certification.html
New Name- Renewal has been changed to Maintenance
New Credit System- Continuing Education Hours has been changed to Maintenance Points
Level II Graduates- Maintaining your Level II will automatically update your Level I certification
New Prices- $65 per level
Maintenance applications are issued annually in January, both in hard copy form and via email. The notice includes an application form to complete and return with the required documentation and payment. You will have until the last business day in March to complete and return the application. You will also receive a reminder email in early March if the BOC office has not received your maintenance application.
To avoid delays, it is important to provide a completed application and supporting documentation of the points required for maintenance. Payment or a purchase order should be submitted with the application. Incomplete applications delay processing.
Maintenance fees are payable by check/purchase order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). The fee includes an up-to-date BOC wallet card, an individual subscription to the BOC newsletter, and quarterly notices of training and continuing education in your area.
Maintenance fees are $65 for each level. Effective January 1, 2014, if your BOC Level II certification is current, your Level I certification will automatically remain current as well. There will no longer be a need to maintain both levels or pay the previous combo fee of $85 to keep both levels current.
If you cannot fulfill the application requirements by the last business day of March, you will need to contact the BOC Certification Maintenance Specialist, Amy Price at 407-256-2757 (M-F, 9am-5pm EST) or email her at email@example.com. Please be advised that effective January 2011, applications submitted after the last business day of March will incur a late fee of $25. Those received after June 30th will be charged a $50 late fee.
