Training Descriptions

BOC training is a valuable resource for anyone concerned with facility maintenance and operations. Level I training emphasizes energy-efficient building maintenance practices while Level II stresses advanced equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. BOC Level I

Level I training is designed for those individuals with two or more years of experience in building operations and maintenance, but is also an effective overall training course and resource for those new to the industry. Participants attend seven classes (64 hours of instruction, 5.6 CEUs) and demonstrate competence by completing course exams and required projects.

BOC Level II

Level II training is designed for those individuals who have received Level I certification or who have three or more years of experience working in operations and maintenance of a commercial or institutional facility. Level II certification requires participants to attend four core courses and two supplemental courses (56 hours of training, 4.6 CEUs) and complete class exams and projects.
